Even one lost tooth can create an uneven bite. Patients with crooked teeth or a misaligned bite are more prone to TMD problems. Uneven bites place more pressure on the jaw joints and muscles. As a result, patients may experience TMD symptoms like teeth clenching and grinding and jaw or tooth pain if they have missing teeth.
It can take 5 to 8 months for patients to receive their dental implants or implant-secured restoration.
